At a past General Policy Committee meeting, the commission voted to update its urban lighting ordinance, #200737. There are a number of benefits that may arise from improving lighting. However, if not carefully implemented, the benefits of increased lighting can have negative effects on public safety and may raise environmental concerns. To address the concerns stated above, staff is proposing amending the existing lighting ordinance according to FDOT lighting standards.Recommendation:Staff to City Plan Board – Staff recommends approval of this petition.E.3Petition LD22-000048 SUP.
